[Feature Request] Mirror backup / Rolling backup
Maybe my use case differs from most users, but here it is.
I schedule a backup at a specific time every day. I set the number of backup revisions to 1. After the backup is finished, I mirror the backup to my own Nextcloud instance. Purpose is that, whenever I do something stupid and have to factory reset my phone, I easily get back to the state it was in just before by copying back the Nextcloud mirror to the OABX backup folder.
Currently, for each backup new maps are created which include the backup time in the folder name. That means that every time, all files are backed up and stored separately, whether or not they have changed. And all those files are uploaded to my Nextcloud.
For me, it would be better to have only one backup folder where files are only been overwritten when they are changed, so that the other files won't be uploaded to my Nextcloud instance again.
Such a thing has been already discussed with @tsiflimagas a sort of "legacy mode". For now it has a low priority. But generally the idea is already welcomed.
I can confirm that problem. I also do daily backups and set my backup revisions to 1. Syncthing transfers almost 10gb daily from my phone to my computer.
