After installing KISS Launcher update 3.24.0 (F-Droid) Android 16 / Play Services report:

KISS Launcher is dangerous.

Probably because of accessibility stuff.

Did you change any settings in F-Droid Client or it's at default? Eg. Played with Expert settings?

also on Android 13

I'm not the creator of the issue, but for me the warning appeared when trying to update KISS to 3.24.0, not after changing any settings. The warning is issued by Google Play protect, I'm assuming that it is a false positive but some assurance from the project might be good.

error message stating 'Harmful app blocked' This is how the error looks like if that is any help.

Im also having this issue and rolled back to 3.23.0 (which that version didnt trigger the alert and still works fine), when i installed 3.24.0 on android 11 it would just crash repeatedly. I came looking to check if android 11 was no longer supported and found this instead

For crashes better capture a stacktrace, eg via Scoop (https://f-droid.org/packages/taco.scoop) and open a separate issue.

Regarding Play Protect, better ask its developer, Google yes, why does it flag KISS as dangerous.

No, I haven't made any changes to any settings. I use KISS Launcher exactly as I originally set it up years ago, without any changes.

I've never been in the expert settings.

The danger warning appeared before/during the installation of the update.

I installed the update and it works for me (doesn't crash).
