History screen closes by itself
Describe the bug It is hard to be more descriptive than that. The history screen closes by itself and returns to the widget screen after using a full-screen app for a while.
To Reproduce Note that this bug is very inconsistent to reproduce.
- Make sure that 'Minimalistic UI' is turned on in the User experience settings
- Open a full-screen app and use it for a few minutes
- Return to the launcher
- Open the history screen and scroll
- The screen closes, occasionally multiple times
Expected behavior The history screen would stay open properly and not close by itself.
Additional information
- App version: 3.20.1
- App installed via: F-Droid
Additional context Workaround: Turn 'Minimalistic UI' off.
Same problem here. But it is actually not easy to reproduce the problem. I have not found any correlations yet.
I also have a couple tags in my favorites bar, and they do the same thing, just closing without any new user input.
Same problem. Really annoying. Btw thanks for this great launcher
Seems to happen while the launcher is loading data (I can see the icons of the fav bar reloading one by one in my slow ass phone) while the history screen is showing. After that loading process finishes, the history screen closes himself.
Maybe the issue has something about the loading frequency or cache management.
I'm bugged by this, too. Very annoying! I heavily rely on two or three widgets and have pinned tags that serve as folders, so turning the minimalistic UI off might as well mean switching to another launcher 🫠.
Is there anything we can do to debug this? As far as I can see there are no logs we can check.
Found it now, will be fixed with #2474
But beware that refresh still may result in changing results. This will be the case especially when lots of apps/shortcuts are added or removed when managed profiles/private space get locked/unlocked.
