Dismiss menu with outside touch

Open HHest opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. In the minimalistic ui mode, it is particularly annoying that we need to touch the x to dismiss the history/tag menus, or the o to dismiss the full app menu.

Describe the solution you'd like Instead it should be possible to dismiss the menu by touching anywhere outside of the menu. Thank you.

Describe alternatives you've considered, or that are already available within KISS None

Additional context In the non-minimalistic ui mode, dismissal goes back to the main history menu.

Would you be able to contribute code? Don't think so. Sorry, am not good enough to develop an android app.

Hello @HHest Unfortunately it is not completely clear which menu and actions (x to dismiss) you are referring to. Can you provide screenshots and UI/UX settings to understand what you mean?

If it is about this tags menu, you can already control if it should stay open or should be closed on selecting tag: 2023-10-19 19_31_42-Clipboard It also already closes when you touch it outside the menu.

Thanks for the reply, @marunjar. Here are the menus I mean:

  1. The one that comes up when one displays the app list. Screenshot_20231019-203058 Here I must click the white circle to dismiss the list of apps. Would be better if we can dismiss it by clicking elsewhere, for example the yellow highlighted area.

  2. The one that comes up when one opens a favorite "tag". In this example, I opened a tag I created, called "tools". Screenshot_20231019-203214 Here I must click the "x".
