EmissionsProfile
I suggest that we evolve the emissions classification and expand its potential to be used on Vehicles data
Old and current <EuroClass>6</EuroClass>
New and improved
<emissionProfiles>
<EmissionProfile id="1" version="1">
<EmissionsClass>Euro 6</EmissionsClass> #should perhaps be just EmissionsClass
where "Euro 6" refers to a EuroClass but we could also have classes from other
parts of the world. The Class should include NOx, CO, HC and PM emissions)
<NoiseEmissions>
<IdleNoise>80</IdleNoise> #dB(A)
<ServiceNoise>95</ServiceNoise> #dB(A)
<MeasuredAt>
<RotationsPerMinute>5000</RotationsPerMinute>
<Distance>100</Distance>
</MeasuredAt>
</NoiseEmissions>
<EmissionProfileRef ref="222"/>
</EmissionProfile>
</emissionProfiles>
Yes, it removes the WORD "EuroClass" from the elements, but now it supports any other classification as well, for example outside of EU. Could be improved a bit with an attribute or something.
What u think?
There are numerous EU legislations on emissions measurements related to the type of road-vehicle. Is EmissionsClass taking account of these? And does the Emissions classification cover as well the airborne and waterborne sectors?
I made it generic so that we can put any emission profile or emission class in there. I assume the Euro-classes are only for road transport, which would mean airplanes cant have an emission class today. So, its the same data as today, just more flexible in use. We could make it more explicit by referencing something more, but i suspect this will be enough.
