IMAGE on "anything"

Discussing with C.D. now. I want to add images to for example Vehicle and Vehicle type, but the only way to do it now is either

Extensions>InfoLinks or Branding>Image

both seem like a long way around and for Infolinks you can only have one, so you "use up" the link on the image.

The usecase is to be able to link to an actual photo of the actual item. This could be a VehicleType, a Vehicle or why not some equipment. Ticket machines, shelters or whatnot.

To be discussed further.

Is this for you a visual description or something part of Presentation?

I expanded the issue text a bit, but I want to connect the thing i NeTEx with an actual image, like a jpg. Sorry for the short issue. I was adding them while I was in a meeting with Christophe.

It still does not answer my question. Is this a Description of an asset, in a different form than text. Or is it something part of the Presentation structure, but then being "a photo" or "illustration".

I would say its part of the description yes, but at the same time I dont fully understand your question.

The question is basically: who is the target audience.

excellent. my indented target was the data manager (backoffice) user who is managing the vehicles data. for the passenger I want to use Branding with colours and logos + iconography.

The variety of vehicles and vehicle types is very large and customers may not easily recognise a vehicle from a picture. The image presentation should itself be standardised! In any case providing JPEG images is requiring using large files size. Wouldn't the prosion of so many images oversize the datasets?

its only a link to an image. the images themselves do not necessarily need to be included in the export of netex. The link in the image could be this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/84/LTZ1328-19-20241030-160332.jpg/1920px-LTZ1328-19-20241030-160332.jpg
