Add seam blending

Investigate ways to blend seams together, or make them less apparent

Hi,
I started having a crack at this using seamoptimizer. As you can see below there are still bits to work out, but I think it's promising. blenderseam

I could possibly integrate it and do a pull request, create a separate addon, or just provide the source/binaries if you're interested?

Hi,

It's actually something just like that I've been looking for and thinking of!

If you want, I'd be perfectly happy to merge a pull request

Great, once I fix the quirks the I'll put it together.

That sounds great!

@mattedicksoncom Hi, I was wondering if you've made any progress with this? If not, I was thinking of having a crack at it myself, although I've only very little experience with C/C++, so I was was curious as to where to start

Hi, I would love it if you took a crack at it! I never reached a stage where I was getting satisfactory results with seamoptimizer (not helped by cycles being funny with small polys). I can send you what I have, and you can see if it's viable start. Hopefully it's something I'm missing!

Sure, if you have any binaries or souce code, I'd be happy to take a look at it, was it something specific that didn't work, or was it cycles in general messing up the uv?

Are there any updates on this?
