Lava killing all mobs in grinder(s)

Whenever a mob goes through lava, it kills a whole ton of them at once. I have tried blacklisting LAVA and FIRE_TICK and also turning on / off kill-step and kill-all. No luck with that. This also happens with every mob in the game.

To Reproduce Any mob going into / through lava will cause this.

Expected behavior I expected the mob to drop through the lava allowing it to die one by one.

does disabling multiply-damage change anything?
