Should it be possible to disable any of the sidebar views for a vocabulary?

At which URL did you encounter the problem?

We can add new sidebar views like 'groups' and 'new' up to a point, but we don't have a configuration to remove the default views, such as hierarchy and alphabetical list. Still, not all of the vocabularies and thesauri really need all of them. Should it be possible to disable any of the views, as right now only some of them are.
