NanoVNA-Saver 0.4.0 scaling
Hi, When I meaure eg an attenuator of 20dB and the setting of the data-axis to "automatic", the trace is in the upper half of the display and has a grid of 2 dB`s. Thiis grid is fairly course and I would prefer a finer grid , I suggest a subdivided 0.1 dB grid With te mouse pointer in the display and turning the wheel, the trace goes out of sight, no matter if you turn up or down. It would be nice if you could turn the courseness up or down with the mousewheel and when pressing it you can shift the trace and data axis up and down as is possible now. Thanks
Hello I found that the grid in the display is dependant of the flatness of the measurement, The flatness of the first 20dB attenuator was poor, resulting in a 2dB grid. The mesurement of a second attenutor of 20dB was completely flat and resulted in a grid iof 1dB, which still istoo course for mel. I also found, that when a meaasurement is out of range from a pevous one,, the trace does show. I have to issue a "Reset" in the display to have the actual graph shown.

Using the latest version (3.5), now the scaling acts weird as well but very different :
Measuring the 20 dB attenuator again , scale setting set to "Automatic", the measured values show on the very top of the graph with graticules of 2dB down, witch is very course for me. Then, when I turn the mouse wheel with the pointer in the graph, the vertical AS WELL as the horizontal scales are changing !
So, trying to get a better scaling , I used the "Data Axis/Fixed span" option : When I set "Maximum" to -19 dB the scale is set to 0dB/-80dB and when I set "Minimum" to -21dB , the scale is set to 0dB/+80dB
addition :
So "minimum" OR "maximum" can be set, I prefer that BOTH can be set with adapted scale divisions. Or better, that the scaling can be adjusted by scrolling the mouse wheel and positioning the display by moving the mouse up and down.
