An encyclopedia of medicines for philosophical ailments
I'm going to work on an encyclopedia of medicines/cures/treatments for conceptual / philosophical ailments. The main thing I want to do is explore what can be done with Wikidata, in terms of connecting concepts and ideas and things and people to each other, as well as in terms of being an interesting source of random stuff.
I got started today, with some code for plucking a random "concept" — instance of (P31) concept (Q151885) — from Wikidata, and finding a random orchid species.

So far, I've got it building some preliminary titles/subtitles of encyclopedia entries, like this:
Genoplesium formosum: end of history's balm
Pelexia fiebrigii: anti-dormancy draught
Epidendrum rigidiflorum: anti-creditor draught
Cyrtochilum tetracopis: essence of range
Ponera dressleriana: tincture of population group
Scaphyglottis coriacea: anti-open access in South Korea draught
Pterostylis clavigera: distilled linear village
Pleurothallis excelsa: distilled samadhi
I'm planning to use PrimitivePic for illustrations, to provide slightly abstract visuals (starting from the linked pictures on Wikidata).
Not sure yet how I'm going to fill out the bodies of each entry, but I'd like to do something with building a narrative and/or instructions for preparation and usage out of connected facts from Wikidata and/or Wikipedia.
Awesome, sounds fun and potentially useful
Making some progress, but not as much as I hoped. Here's a 100-entry version representing what I've got so far. Still needs a lot more work for fleshing out the body of each entry.
