how to load new data?

I recently installed Checkbook and have been able to use it with the sample data.

I would be interested in some instructions or examples of how to load fresh data. Even some idea of what tables and fields to map to would be helpful.

Additionally, I am wondering how I could go about isolating a specific part of Checkbook (i.e. Just "Spending"). What tables does "Spending" rely on (for example)?

And finally, what data are generated automatically and how can I trigger their generations (if any)?

Thanks. It seems like an awesome project and I think with this sort of helpful information and/or additional scripts, it could really take off and be a useful tool.
