[Toolkit bug]: Crash on recent builds

Describe the bug

I noticed I'm getting some more startup crashes on the recent nightly builds of the toolkit compared to the regular stable released version. I'm always able to load up properly on the second attempt to load up. There isn't always a load-up crash, but it has been happening more on recent builds.

How do you reproduce the bug?

1.) Build latest toolkit 2.) On occasion, there will be a startup crash.

What is the expected behavior?

The toolkit should...
