[Toolkit feature]: Capture Location Marker

What is the context of the feature/improvement?
I think it would be useful to have somewhere on the scene displaying where the capture was taken. Something like a pin marker that would display a symbol just like the light sources that display a sun. This would be useful in tangent with how we are also able to title captures.
Please describe the feature/improvement?
The feature would help modders map out where they were when a capture was taken to assist with where an area was captured/loaded when the map size is big. This will help mapping out and making staying on track with where areas are loaded/not loaded to where the capture was taken.
What would be your solution? (optional)
Perhaps a taggable option the user could have if they'd like to see where the capture was taken in a scene. In the screenshot I posted it could be maybe a red pin marker or something similar where the capture was taken.

Hi @skurtyyskirts, I believe we have an actual camera object for each capture. One way to see where the capture is taken is to look at the associated waypoint (pin in the upper right of the viewport). Would that help your use case or do you need to see the object from further away?
Ahh I see! But it looks like it doesn't have a waypoint for where the camera was taken, I only see the option to make waypoints. Having the capture location loaded as a waypoint would be perfect - but also having a toggle to view from far away would be nice as switching from capture to capture doesn't change the viewport camera. It'd help with mapping if enough captures were taken to load in all of the props that disappear from the LOD
Hey @skurtyyskirts . The latest version of Remix should automatically create a waypoint where the capture was taken. This "capture location" waypoint creation should trigger when opening a stage that doesn't already contain any waypoints. Does this work for you?
Also, could you please elaborate on what you mean by having a way to toggle to view from far away? Do you mean like have an icon in 3D space for the location of the capture (game camera) position?
Please lmk. Thanks!
Hey! Thanks for the reply, sorry - I might be confused as to where the waypoint is, or how it works. I try and checkmark and uncheck the waypoint toggle, but nothing happens.
Oh yes, and the waypoint toggle from far away being a 3D space icon marking the location of the capture (game camera) is exactly what I mean. Just a suggestion of course.
Hello,
Just checking on the status of this. It might be me having a user error on how it works, but whenever I switch captures, the camera doesn't move to where the capture was taken. Flying around with the free camera in the scene, and then switching captures, the camera stays in place. When I go to open the waypoint pin, it appears empty. I did notice that when I select the 3 lined menu pad, the Camera checkbox is greyed out.
