Risen 1 (Digital) - DXVK Crash on New Game
Describe the bug
- When attempting to start a new game in Risen 1, DXVK Remix will crash on a loading screen.
- If using a development build of DXVK-Remix, Remix will also fail an assert related to loading in objects,
- The assert occurs at this line: https://github.com/NVIDIAGameWorks/dxvk-remix/blob/9a71a6c43f98d116f944aa5f34fe0994a4ef7d11/src/dxvk/rtx_render/rtx_scene_manager.cpp#L750
System and Environment
- DXVK-Remix:
NVIDIAGameWorks:mainabdd865-222-debugoptimized - Bridge-Remix: None
- GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080
- Driver: Nvidia Studio Driver 536.67
- Version: Risen 1 (GOG) - Current Version

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Install all DXVK Remix artifacts to
<game folder>\bin. The EXE is 64-bit for all updated versions of the game, and Bridge must be bypassed. - When the game reaches the main menu, press Enter.
- Select "Game," "New Game" and "Yes," and allow the game to load.
- If using Debug-Optimized Remix will fail an assert and crash. Otherwise it will crash and close silently if no debugger is present.
Expected behavior
- The game should begin to play a prerendered video, then start a brief in-engine cutscene and gameplay.
REMIX-2065 for tracking.
