Issues with installation
Thanks for the resources. I was having a few issues and was wondering if you could help.
I have a Z420 with E5-1650 cpu and a gtx 1060. I am trying to put macos Sierra and having issues. I used unibeast 7.0.1 (I found an older version so it would be the same as your first guide). I then copy your clover folder (not the 10.13 one, the original one). I boot from the drive on the Z420 and select the macos option. I then get the following screen (attached). It thinks for a few seconds and then immediately reboots. I cannot get it to the apple screen.
I haven't tried High Sierra because on my current other hackintosh when I try downloading it, I only get a 20mb patch installer and not the full OS. I for the life of me cannot get my app store to download the whole macos high sierra.
Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
Hi @brettjson, I never met this situation before. Some advice:
(1) make sure using AHCI for hard drive,
(2) try my CLOVER for 10.13 but rename /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.13
to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12
(3) make sure CLOVER directory in the right EFI partition.
Thank you for the quick reply.
- the bios is set to AHCI and not AHCI+RAID
- I tried the 10.13 clover with the change in the kexts dir and got the attached error
- I used EFI Mounter v3 and mounted the EFI of the flash drive (not my own hackintosh), I then moved the existing CLOVER dir to the trash and drag and dropped the one from the repo here into the EFI
With the 10.13 Clover:
I just cannot figure out why it isn't working. I looked at your closed issue and that person had a very similar issue as I did. When I used your 10.12 clover and booted into safe mode I got the same screen as he did:
He said his was fixed when he put the new CLOVER dir in, but I did the same with no luck.
Anyway, if you have any additional tips, I would be grateful.
@brettjson, try NOT to use my CLOVER, use a new clover, only copy my kexts directories to the 10.12 kexts directory. Then, boot with flags npci=0x2000
.
So, I tried to keep the original CLOVER folder and add your kexts. Interestingly there was not a EFI/CLOVER/10.12 folder on the EFI that Unibeast 7.0.1 made. So, I made a 10.12 folder and added your kexts. I did add the boot flag npci=0x2000 in the boot options once I booted into clover. I also booted -v and -x. Unfortunately, I had the exact same result.
@brettjson Take a look at https://www.hackintosh.zone/forums/topic/9709-solved-error-allocating/ and https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-error-allocating-0x-pages-at-0x-alloc-type-2.182907/ or https://nickwoodhams.com/x99-hackintosh-solving-osxaptiofixdrv-allocaterelocblock-can-not-allocate-relocation-block/
Interesting. Thank you. I will try that when I get home today. Hopefully it is as easy as changing the OsxAptioFIx file in the EFI.
hi ! I am stuck at End RandomSeed. I copied the zip file and replaced the EFI folder. My GPU though, is a K2200 Quadro and my cpu is a 2690
