wag randomly not responding TOTP page

running wag v8.0.1 on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS wireguard-tools/noble,now 1.0.20210914-1ubuntu4 amd64 [installed] wireguard/noble,now 1.0.20210914-1ubuntu4 all [installed]

were randomly noticing about on 30% of the connection or reconnects that the TOTP auth page is inaccessible. if i reconnect page becomes accessible again, accessing TOTP page via IP so DNS is not an issue, as thats what i thought at first was the issue.

anyone else seeing this?

I haven't had any other issues around this. I also have never experienced this myself and I run a deployment for about 30 or so people.

Have you got any logs you could share from the browser and wag?

issue replicated on clients running mac osx 14.7.1 using all browsers safari, chrome, firefox. as well as fedora, no issues when running wg connecting to wag totp page on ubuntu client that i have been able to replicate. will get logs once i replicate it again. here is the behavior i connect WG, then open the WAG TOTP page http://192.168.0.1:8080, page takes a long time to load but i do immediately see a redirect to a page with http://192.168.0.1:8080/authorise, and 192.168.0.1 is pingable, after about 2-5 minutes page finally loads, however most clients reported to me page doesnt load and likely because they tried page and didnt load right away. will upload logs once i can replicate again.

Thanks, I also run with a fleet of Macs, I have seen in the past that the mac wireguard daemon can occasionally deadlock for some reason or another which can cause the MFA page not to load.

But other than that I havent had this issue

As I havent gotten any logs from you, and I currently dont have this issue myself (i.e I cant replicate it) I am going to close this issue.

If you find a way that you can replicate it feel free to reopen!
