Include observations in LDF
What is this new feature?
No observations are currently being used in the land diagnostics.
- [ ] Populate datasets in central location (e.g.
/glade/campaign/cgd/amp/amwg/ADF_obs),- Maybe this lives in a CUPiD observations home?
- Alternatively we could just draw from ILAMB?
- [ ] Regrid to standard resolution(s) (start with f09_t232)
- [ ] Include any unit conversions, I think these go into
lib/ldf_variable_defaults.yaml - [ ] Check that plots look as expected
The (very old) observations that the NCL-based diagnostics package uses are here:

Updated datasets can be downloaded periodically by running ilamb_fetch (see README in /glade/campaign/cesm/community/lmwg/diag/ILAMB).
