weather station data for India

• Royal Netherlands Meteorological Department (KNMD) and Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) have weather station data for India
• Not sure yet how readily available these are
• Datasets are referenced in Jeelani et al., 2012

• here is information of rainfalls station given by state (e.g. look for J & K, Uttranachal, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, as these have glaciers within their state boundary)
• these data only available for Indian Institutes

• Shashank has a response from IMD and it looks like we need to prepare a consent letter / acquire HiMAT signatures.
