The timeline can get very crowded when there are simulated activities that spawn many children.
Describe the feature request
I want to collapse the child activities spawned by a parent. This would allow the user to collapse hierarchies of activities that they do not want to see in detail, and declutter the timeline.
Design task: whats the stop-gap solution that builds towards a larger timeline rework.
@parkerabercrombie do you think the work done in https://github.com/NASA-AMMOS/aerie-ui/pull/1259 addresses this need?
The hierarchy view supports this collapsing, but we still don't have an approach to collapse in packed mode. May be able to close this for now.
