Describe the feature request
When there are many views available, the query to fetch the views can take several seconds to return. During this time the UI says "no rows", which makes it look like all the views have disappeared. Instead the UI should say "loading views" or something to indicate that the operation is in progress.
Still seeing slowness even with the previous refactor, should add a loading indicator.
