Filter out points via the legend

It would be nice to use the legend tool to filter out points on the map. There is the filter in the layer tool that works but is less intuitive when there are a bunch of values to choose (users need to include all values in a list and there isn't a "not equals" option). Improving the layer tool filters could be another way to go.
