Is there an over-ride to use wakeword?

For demo purposes, I would rather be able to use the wake word than push the button.

I have just found this project, and have tested it out on a 7" tablet that Im intending to use for home automation dashboards. I was hoping to have a way to use the wakeword here, but it looks like it will take a button press in the app. Is a wakeword possible, or something being worked on?
