The latest Windows Update (KB5062553 - 2025-07-08 - OS Build 26100.4652) has probably broken WSA.
Everything is working fine here after installing KB5062553 🤷🏻♂️

Seems like its only affecting a small number of users.
same issue. 26200.5670
I'm experiencing the issue (Instagram crashing shortly after launch) on 26120.4520 (Insider Dev/Beta build), so perhaps it may not be related to the build

Well, rolling back the 2025-07 Cumulative Update is fixing the issue for most users. This most likely confirms that it is the update that is breaking WSA.
Hi, I saw in KB5062553 known issues that it mentions possible virtualization issues, and they suggest KB5064489 as a fix.
Has anyone tried that update to see if it helps with the Wsabuilds apps closing issue?

It did not fix the issue for me. But you can updating to the Out-of-band update and see if the issue is fixed for you.

I’ve tested KB5064489 too, but it didn’t fix the issue on my side either. Thanks for confirming!
I also installed this update, but I installed WSA after the update. What's worse, I can't uninstall (roll back) this update. Currently, I have no way to use it. Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks! I'm using a translator, please excuse any mistakes.

This is just a guess, do you guys have Vulkan driver set to D3D12 or something? because if I have that then the apps indeed close, I set it to none and they work.

Instagram still crashes with 'None' here, so no, sadly this didn't work for me
Same issue here on Windows 11 23H2 after 2025-07 Cumulative Update (KB5062552). OS build: 22631.5624

I also tried installing it, but for some reason, after I restarted, the update didn't succeed as expected. Instead, it keeps prompting me to install the update after restarting.
Can you guys try this WSA build just to test:
WSA_2407.40000.4.0_x64_Release-Nightly-NoGApps-RemovedAmazon
I just tried it clean install (and deleting the folder of WSA) with KB5062553 installed and it works. I used Aurora Store which is a proxy of Google Play Store.
The reason I am mentioning this is that we might be barking up the wrong tree and the issue might be related to Google itself instead of KB5062553.
It worked. Now I can use WSA normally here!
I tried cloning the upstream MagickOnWSALocal repository and compiled WSA_2407.40000.4.0_x64_Release-Nightly-with-kernelsu-v1.0.5-NoGApps-NoAmazon on my Raspberry Pi, which also runs normally

@Potato4096 How did you fix the issue?

Attempt to install or self compile NoGApps version (not MindTheGApps)
Perhaps it's a problem with Google

MagickOnLocalrepository? I can't find such.@MustardChef it seems we need a new build that includes KernelSU but no GApps or AmazonStore... (or two new ones - one with Aurora store and one not) ?
Sorry, my mistake. The correct answer is MagiskOnWSALocalhttps://github.com/LSPosed/MagiskOnWSALocal

And so that fixed the issue without rolling back the Windows Update?
If this is the case, I need some more people to confirm that this works.
I have been experiencing continuous failures while uninstalling KB562553, with a prompt of 0X800f0825. When uninstalling with Dism++, it shows that it has been solidified. I'm not sure if the KB506489 patch is working because the system keeps reminding me that I need to restart. But what can be certain is that I still cannot install the MindTheGApps versions, but the NoGApps version can run normally

Thank you for confirming. I just checked and the Non GApps version does infact work on the latest update.
Have you tried compiling MagickOnWSALocal with GApps locally? I would like to know if the problem lies here or upstream

I haven't, but the results should be the same as WSABuilds uses the MagiskOnWSALocal repo with a couple of changes to adapt it for the GitHub Actions Workflow.
Well, is it necessary to report this issue to MagickOnWSALocal?

You can try if you want.
Thank you to everyone, especially @RebelliousX for their direction and suggestions, and the author @MustardChef for their active attention and assistance.
