[BUG] WSA MEMORY LEAK while using WYZE App.

Open Ruben-Isai opened this issue 6 months ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug

BUG: When using the latest stable WSA build (09/12/24 - 2407.40000.4.0) on Windows 10 and the latest Wyze App (installed via Play Store), WSA consistently consumes RAM until all the available memory is consumed, ultimately resulting in a crash. This issue occurs within approximately 20 minutes and affects both Stable and Pre-Release builds. I've attached screenshots showing the start of WSA, 20 minutes later of RAM consumption.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Fresh install of Windows 10 LTSC. Install latest stable WSA build. Install Wyze from Play Store. Open Task Manager. Sign into Wyze services. Live view cameras on the Home Tab. Watch WSA memory increase from 200MB to eventually consume all avilable RAM in 20 minutes.

Expected behaviour

I expect WSA to utalize only the RAM reqired and release the RAM when not required.

Downloaded Build Of WSA

@Ruben-Isai Reduce the allocated amount of RAM to 2GB.

Hello @MustardChef

I have limited the RAM to 2GB, but the Wyze app does not function. The issue is the Wyze App. When the Wyze App is not open, only the Play Store is running, and the memory usage of WSA increases but is subsequently released.

I suspect Wyze is aware that users may utilize their Android app on a desktop to bypass subscription fees for viewing cameras on desktop devices.

We can close this issue. Thank you for your response.
