Why do you need to add Gapps?

MustardChef avatar Aug 15 '23 17:08 MustardChef

if you Need to integrate can be userful have only One sources for all files

Ok, so first of all, using Git LFS is not the best option to store files, in my opinion. Second of all, I am collecting all available Android TV x86 builds available (either paid or public) and creating GitHub Releases for each and adding easy download buttons, similar to this (https://github.com/MustardChef/WSABuilds#downloads). Therefore, OpenGAPPS are unnecessary.

Oh ok, I got one from internet archive I try to run it, followed this tutorial . It runs well in live mode directly from USB, once I install it, it doesn't work properly, it shows the youtube app but when I try to play no video plays it gets stuck for ever.

Are you trying to build from scratch or you are just going to get the links to iso and publish it here? (Either way all the best, I think using a spare old PC is more convenient for Goolge TV where we can easily upgrade RAM and storage required for Android, rather than buying TV Boxes.)

I did attempt to build from scratch, but many major components like Bluetooth and Wi-FI were not working. Too much effort will be required to fix every issue.

Therefore, I have shifted my focus to obtaining all builds that currently exist on the Internet.

What did you find till now, did you find anything better than what I have. I am unable to make it work after install, in live mode it works but after installation in YouTube or app that I install from playstore like Netflix, all catalogs everything shows, but the moment I play no video or audio plays, the player is stuck sometimes it shows loading forever, I am thinking after installation it either looses some drivers or codec etc, you have any clue?

@MustardChef I it possible for you to share me any iso build for ATV9 that you have collected, it will help me with building my system (I am just trying to build a android TV box using the spare HP laptop with 7gen intel CPU, to use it for my own, its just hobby project) , and I will share my findings to give details about issues I encounter trying to install etc.
