Bug Description

Even though 'mv modify set animals' and also the same for monsters were both set to false, players are still able to spawn Allays. I was being told by Zax71 in Discord that this is because Allays aren't in the standard set of mob groups. He requested me to create this GitHub issue about it.

Thank you in advance for fixing it!

Steps to reproduce

  1. Disable monsters and animals for a specific world using /mv modify set <monsters/animals> false
  2. Spawn allay using spawn egg
  3. Allay will still spawn.

Agreements

Does it spawn naturally as well?

I am unsure, sorry. I use it in a creative Flat world to disable spawning, e.g. via Spawn Eggs, but it is quite hard to find a place where Allays would expected to naturally spawn then.

I have tested this (in MV5) and I can find Allays in pillager outposts, spawn them with spawn eggs and duplicate them with the mvm options set, although I would argue that is not "spawning" and hence not covered by that option. But I am happy to head opinions!

This has been fixed with the new entity spawn config revamp in MV5
