All of the icons in the top and bottom bars are way too big

Open Johnnycyan opened this issue 5 years ago • 3 comments

System Information

MultiMC version: 0.6.6-1341

Operating System: Windows 10

Summary of the issue or suggestion:

The icons on the top and bottom bar are so big that they are getting cut off which is also causing the text for those buttons to also get cut off because they're clipping outside their bounds.

What should happen:

The icons should be normally sized.

Steps to reproduce the issue (Add more if needed):

  1. Launch multimc

  2. look at the icons

  3. see that they are too big

Suspected cause:

This issue only appeared after an update so I'm guessing it was caused by a recent update, not necessarily the last update though. I'm not sure how many updates I was behind when I updated but it wasn't many.

Additional Info:

This issue is persistent regardless of which icon theme I choose.

Sounds and looks buggy, but I'd expect more reports of the same if this was a bigger problem.

What DPI is your screen, and do you use any sort of display scaling?

My display is 1080p at 100% scaling. The weird thing was when it happened I opened it the icons were fine and then it said there was an update and right after the update the buttons were like that.

Interestingly I have 2 monitors. My other monitor is 4k at 150% scaling and when I put multimc on that monitor the icons are still really big but they don't get cropped anymore. So I think the icons are maybe getting stuck at 150% scaling even when not on that monitor.

~~got another report of this, probably not fixable until Qt is updated on Windows, they fixed it by setting both screens to the same scaling percentage in windows~~

use this build for now to fix the issue https://files.multimc.org/downloads/mmc-develop-win32-5.15.2.zip
