[FR] Allow annotation in the split viewport, so that references I intend to read can be highlighted

As is, it's possible to select text in the split view of the references, but it doesn't seem to have annotation features.

If it was possible to annotate in the split view, it would enable workflows that integrate Zotero with note-taking tools like Obsidian, where you can template annotations of a certain color to imported under a heading like "Further reading". This would be great!

I don't know the underlying architecture of this addon, so I don't know if this feature is feasible.

Sorry to tell you this, but I am afraid it's not possible before Zotero supports editing in the split PDF view. This plugin does a great job and uses the second panel perfectly, but the function itself is provided by Zotero.

Actually someone has mentioned similar request in the Zotero forum (one year ago): https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/100095/interconnected-split-views-and-pdf-viewer-windows And unfortunately, the developer of Zotero seems to be against this idea.
