Change Time but i want to start the countdown later

I have the same problem like https://github.com/MuhammadUsamaSiddiqui/circular_countdown_timer/issues/12 but i don't want to start the timer with the new value. restart( duration: seconds) starts the timer immediately. But i want to change the duration and let the user start the timer from a button.
