Issues Running on Windows

Open JohnnyErnest opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

Following the instructions I download with "npm install -g vtop". Node version is v6.11.3, npm version is 5.4.2. If I just type "vtop" from a command prompt with Admin permissions it will give me command not found. I have to cd into C:\Users\MyAccount\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\vtop\bin and then type node vtop. I'm on Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit.

Once this happens it shows but gets exception errors because it can't find ps. Wondering if there's a substitute for Windows. Also wondering how I can just type "vtop" from command prompt and go, I'm new to NodeJS and not sure if I need to configure anything on my system, I just downloaded NodeJS from the web site and installed. Really great program btw from the screenshots very much appreciated.

@abratar looks like it is for windows if you look at #12 @GuardianArchangelJohn You may want to review #12 as well to see if it answers your question.

@Eeems no it's not. they are using cygwin

@abratar Which is windows only, thus windows support under cygwin.
