Cobalt cookie save button freezes / does nothing
Describe the bug I'm unable to save the cobalt cookie for DnD beyond in either the GameSettings : Configure Settings : DDB Importer: A D&D Beyond Integrator : Core Setup or Compendium packs : DDB Muncher. The cookie verification sometimes works. Sometimes it does nothing. (It doesn't fail either.) The save button does nothing, so it is not possible to proceed out of that configuration panel other than to close it without effect.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Go to GameSettings : Configure Settings : DDB Importer: A D&D Beyond Integrator : Core Setup or Compendium packs : DDB Muncher in Foundry VTT
- log in to D&D beyond with Safari
- Select menu item in browser Develop : Show Web Inspector
- In web inspector, click the storage tab
- Select cookies > www.dndbeyond.com at left in inspector
- Filter for CobaltSession in web inspector
- Select Item
- Cmd-C to copy
- paste into the Core Setup or DDB Muncher configuration panel text box for the cobalt cookie
- Click save at bottom of panel
Expected behavior The new settings should save. The configuration panel should go away.
**Actual behavior ** The save button depresses but nothing happens after that. The next time I open the configuration panel, the cookie has not been saved.
Environment:
-
Browser Safari 16.6
-
Foundry Version 11.307.0
-
5e System Version 2.3.0
-
Module Version 3.4.58
-
Does this behaviour occur with other modules disabled: After turning off various modules, I wasn't able to find a subset of modules disabled that even allowed the Core Setup or DDB Muncher pref panels to open. Even after turning them all back on to the original setup, I could no longer get the DDB importer pref panels to open. Something is not happy here.
-
MacOS 13.5
Additional context
I have some DnDBeyond content purchased, but do not own the DMG or monster manual, for example. Been waiting on the 2024 revision.
If there is a way to edit a config file somewhere to set the cookie, I'd take that as a workaround.
That sounds odd, you've possibly entered the wrong value there. Did the check button say successful? Make sure you are selecting CobaltSession and not cobalt-token.
If the core settings won't open you'll need to reset: https://github.com/MrPrimate/ddb-importer/blob/main/FAQ.md#my-core-settings-screen-wont-open
It did say I had the right value once. Usually the check button did nothing, however, and the save button always did nothing. I was using CobaltSession.IanOn Aug 24, 2023, at 1:11 AM, Jack Holloway @.***> wrote: That sounds odd, you've possibly entered the wrong value there. Did the check button say successful?
