Manifest file is missing or unreadable Could not load manifest.
Sorry to bother you with this if this is a problem on my end. I've tried several things all with no luck just trying to install the extension but keep getting the manifest file error message. I'm not expecting tech support I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an issue in the code. It probably isn't, I just want to check off that box.
Same issue as UndeadBuddha. Thanks
Normally this is because you've tried to load the extension from the wrong folder. can you double check that you loaded the folder with the manifest.json
file in it? (if it has module.json
you have downloaded the wrong thing.
I did direct it to the directory in which the .json is located, but received the same error message. I wound up installing it manually which was simple enough. Thanks for your time
Hello! I'm having the same issues as those above. Keep getting a "manifest_version": 2, error when trying to install the extension. Any help would be appreciated.
Same issue, Browser says:
Failed to load extension File ~/Downloads/ddb-importer Error Manifest file is missing or unreadable Could not load manifest.
I even tried to upload a version from the same date that he uploaded the video to YouTube - no dice (or, dice with a nat 1!).
The most frustrating part is that his video entirely skips the downloading, extracting, and upload of the extension into the browser.
@petervangorder @Tymhr @nozero1 Same case is happening to me now. How did you guys overcome the issue?
Make sure you have the ddb-importer-chrome
folder, not ddb-importer
like peter. There are two things here:
- https://github.com/MrPrimate/ddb-importer this is the module for foundry, you download this inside of foundry
- https://github.com/MrPrimate/ddb-importer-chrome this module, this is the one you need to download an use. Use this link to download: https://github.com/MrPrimate/ddb-importer-chrome/releases/download/0.0.4/ddb-importer-chrome.zip
