[FR] Adding widget and shortcuts to the home screen

Adding widget of the apps and shortcuts of a web page or a specific folder to the home screen would be so great since, I have just one blank screen I like to personalize it with widget and shortcuts.

Are you interested in this, I know you like to keep the home screen clean #4 but, having this as a feature would give a choice to the users to personalize the home screen as they wish, also it would make the user faster to achieve the desired information and place faster.

I am investigating adding full widget support. This is a non-trivial ask though, so experimentation and development is taking some time.

I will not be adding support for adding shortcuts/icons/apps to the home screen itself.

That's great to hear that you're already considering adding support for widget, thanks. I really miss some of the widget that I had with the previous default launcher on my phone.

+1 to shortcuts. It would be nice if website shortcuts are presented in the app list rather than in the home screen.
