PVR load time Nvidia Shield
Takes 10 minutes after it is launched to load channels from client ang guide. I also have SPMC and Kodi loaded with the exact configuration and it's done loading and ready to go in 30 seconds. Perhaps Koying can look at this since it works flawlessly in SPMC.

Mythtv Simpletv Loading channels from client and guide. I have the opposite experience on my Nvidia Shield.
Tried DVBviewer PVR client. It does load channels and guide in less than 1.5 minutes. Really quick. But tuning / streaming is impossible. When start tuning the hourglass stays on the screen for a while. After a minute it stops and the PVR client falls back to the channel list. So I Can't use DVBviewer PVR client on MrMC 3.6.1.
Tried DVBlogic TVMosaic. Time to load channel list and guide is much longer about 5 minutes. But tuning / streaming does take effect. Although much interference from OSD on the video processing is showing up which results in significant audio/video synchronisation problems.
Didn't tried Mediaportal PVR client yet because of problems with the latest TV server on my system.
I suppose it depends on the PVR client and each one has their own bugs.
anything with 2800 channels will struggle :)
7 day EPG, average 1 epg entry per hour? x 2800 channels... 470+k entries that need to be added in... it could take a while
I use Tv Mosaic to trim m3u8 list to the channels I actually watch... works a treat
Have you tried SPMC with your setup? I know they mentioned that Koying is with them now and I'm a long time SPMC user whose been using IPTV Simple Client and Mythtv on that platform with no issues. I updated my Mythtv to the latest version and couldn't run it on SPMC any longer. I saw this MRMC and was excited to see that it supported Mythtv 29 so I installed it and setup my IPTV Simple Client as well as my Mythtv and the thing takes 10 to 15 minutes to load. Not sure what the issue is so I posted to see if they had any ideas. Gig fiber ATT UVerse and wired Cat 6 to shield. I do have Kodi loaded and I can run both Mythtv 29 and IPTV Simple Client with 1 minute or less load times but its giving me issues with my bluetooth keyboard. So I'm trying to find the one build that everything works good on. Not a big issue but was wondering if anyone else was seeing issues with their MRMC PVR setup.

I hear what your saying but when I run this on SPMC or Kodi the whole thing is up and running in 1 minute or less thus my question to why one would behave differently than the others (i.e. MRMC).
