Open Dhairy2003 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Feature Request Description

This feature request aims to add keyboard shortcuts for moving the active window to a different space on macOS. Users would be able to quickly rearrange windows across multiple spaces without relying on manual dragging and dropping or using the Mission Control interface.

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't provide a public API to switch a window's current space. This means that this would require a private API, which are undocumented, and can be changed at any time by Apple. This is the reason that other window managers such as Rectangle do not have this feature.

However, I am not against using private APIs, so I will look into seeing if this is actually possible. If it is, please note that implementing this might take a long time :)
