You can fix the gas pump xray glitch if you turn off Fast Render.
You can fix the driving-around xray glitch if you fully repair your vehicle (I don't believe this mod has any config files but you can make a command block to constantly set the vehicle health to 100.0)

It's true, you have to create compatibility with optifine.

You can turn off vehicle damage entirely in the server config under [world]/serverconfig/vehicle-server.toml
