Add Gyro and Flickstick Support to your mod
Controlify has added a basic Gyro implementation to their mod but unfortunately the mod is very flaky and crashes often. Your mod feels a lot better and while I'm aware I could just attach the game to steam and use steam input, (which I do) the problem is you have to emulate the mouse to make it as accurate and that means you can't have all 4 players in splitscreen using gyro.
Thanks for the suggestion. Can you please describe your use case? I am aware of gyro, but I am not sure how it is used in games. If can provide as much details as possible, that would be helpful.
Maybe he wants to control the ingame cursor, which is usually controlled by the right stick to be controlled by gyro ? Or also the headmovement like it's implemented in some shooters e.g. apex legends to adjust it with more accuracy than doing it with the left stick?
Cursor control would be nice, but what I'm trying to say that all programs that emulate gyro / flick stick have to use a mouse. (stick emulation is possible but nowhere near as accurate) and you cant have four mice on one PC they'll all control one client in a split screen configuration. That's the example I was going with. Would be nice for it to be native so this wouldn't happen, but controlify's gyro is super smoothed out and has all these filters, and the flick stick is not at all feature complete.
If you're looking at a good example Quake Engine Ironwail has recently added gyro and flickstick and it's ALMOST perfect. I believe it is open source. The remasters on steam have piss-poor gyro in comparison. Basically, We want mouse like precision for looking around! Stick aiming sucks. Especially in Inventories or PVP.
