PSP Fat, 6.60 PRO B Fix 10. Buttons are mixed up, unable to enter VSH and recovery.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the 6.60 PRO B
2. Install the CIPL Flasher
3. Press Select to enter VSH menu
4. Hold R while starting up to enter recovery
5. Press HOME to enter game menu
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
VSH should appear, but it doesn't work. Holding R should bring up the recovery
menu, but it doesn't work. Pressing HOME during gameplay should bring up the
menu, but it doesn't work.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PSP 1000. OFW 6.60, then 6.60 PRO B Fix 10.
Please provide any additional information below.
When I press the home, it doesn't bring up the menu. But the HOME is now
somewhere in the other buttons. It's different for every game I played. In one
game, the brightness button becomes the HOME, and in the other game, SELECT
button becomes the HOME. And all the face buttons, including the analog, are
not responding like they should. I have tried removing the CIPL Flasher then
the CFW, then reinstalling them again. But the result is still the same. In the
XMB, the SELECT becomes the HOME button. The CIPL Flasher also fail to "keep"
the CFW. It reverts to the OFW after shutdown. I also have tried to uninstall
everything, formatting the Memory Stick and the PSP itself, but still no result.
Please assist...

1. Pro-B10 is outdated. Use Pro-C instead.
2. Did you disable all additional plugins ? Plugins for older CFW might not be
compatibile with 6.60 CFW.
3. Do you have a PSP 1000 (Fat) or a PSP E-1000 (Street). CIPL flasher should
NOT be used for PSP E-1000.
4. Do the buttons work properly on OFW?

1. I'm new in this CFW world...
2. I have disabled the plugins. Still the same problem.
3. The Fat one, not the Street.
4. The buttons are still messed up even after I uninstalled the CFW.

I downgraded to 5.50, reupdated to 6.60, then installed the PRO C just now. The
HOME is still in the SELECT in all those firmwares. No difference.

If you encounter those problems on OFW then it's a hardware issue. Either the
main board of your psp is damaged or the cables connecting button sets to it
are damaged.

So it was hardware problem? I thought the CFW messed things up, since the
problem first occured after update to 6.60 and CFW installation. I guess I'll
go back to the store for repair.
