Can you make a version of this that works on TikTok live? Or do you already know of something like this that exists?

i tried to decouple the logic but it was too much of a mess, one day maybe. automatic recording is tricky though, i tried doing it for youtube, and there's no surefire way of having it detect every stream

for an actual working program, check if those other streamlink-based capture things work, but they check every like 30 seconds if the stream is online

I think streamlink used to work, but not since late 2020. I did just find something that worked on Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok, but technically a separate entity) but I don't know if it can work on TikTok as well. Are you interested in checking it out?

I myself despise TikTok and all state-affiliated Chinese stuff, so even if i was able to, I'm not really that interested in it, sorry.

If i do make this multi-platform supported, YouTube comes first.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I looked through the issues and people were requesting livestreams to be added so it looks like it only works for videos, but I'm not for certain.

I'm not the biggest fan of tiktok myself tbh, but I enjoy some of the livestreams. I do appreciate you making a couple of suggestions to me. If you do ever wanna include support for tiktok, I'd donate to you if it helped.
