Please open an issue with the OTel semantic conventions: https://github.com/open-telemetry/semantic-conventions We do not plan to add logging to the canonical library without a standardization across OpenTelemetry.

Keep in mind that a user defined processor is not constrained by this specification. Saying they should or shouldn't do something is a meaningless statement. We can only make prescriptive...
