Instrument audio source seems to be off position

When playing the instrument the audio was clearly coming from a different place in space. At first I thought one of my ears was deaf, but alas, it appears to be floating to the side of the instrument creating a stereo bias. In the screenshot I try to pin point it by ear.

As a side note, the spatial audio demo room appeared to work just fine, so it feels like a misplaced entity.

Using a Valve Index system with SteamVR Beta 1.10.6 running Firefox 72.0.2 on Windows 10 Pro 1809.
