Unexpected selection behavior in all browsers

Open mbratukha opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

When I try to select some peac of text using keyboard keys: {Ctrl}+{Shift}+{Left} or {Shift}+{Left} the selection disappeares on the next click of the {Left} key and appeares again from the previous position: ezgif com-video-to-gif

The expected behavior should be the same as when clicking {Ctrl}+{Shift}+{Right} or {Shift}+{Right} respectively.

Another bug was incidentally found during doing this video (just at the beginning): when clickling the button {Up} or {Down} the highlighted key is {Zero} instead of the expected {Up} or {Down}.

The video is recorded in: image

But I see the same behavior in all browsers I have.

Any ideas?

Hi @bratukham!

Hmm, yeah that is a strange bug. If I hold down the arrow key it starts behaving as expected.

I'm not sure what to make of the "0" being highlighted at the beginning. Have you been able to reproduce it? I can't.

Hi @Mottie! Yes, I was able to reproduce the bug with keys {Up} and {Down}, but only in Firefox. The tested version of the Firefox are 45.9.0 and 63.0b5.

Ok, I see it happening in Firefox. I'll try to look into this problem soon.
