wallpaper not working again

recent spicetify update causese wallpaper to not show (default doesn't work either)

I did not get it to work either, This is what I did; (platform: windows 10)

1. git cloned retroblur into themes folder
2. edited user.css, i added in body; background-image: url("https://github.com/Motschen/Retroblur/blob/fresh/assets/background_purple.jpg?raw=true") !important;
3. spicetify config current_theme Retroblur
4. spicetify apply

the theme is enabled and sometimes i can se the image when spotify loads, my theory is that elements on the page is hiding it.

if i go into "edit wallpaper" in spotify and try to edit the wallpaper there is no change
