Amp limit of rpi connector

Could you please document the amp limit of the rpi connector somewhere?

Is it 3a limiting use to rpi 4, or is it 5a allowing for use of an rpi5?

The current is limited to 3A by the DCDC converter. However, I have also successfully tested the RPi5 and it works exactly the same way. I had not received an undervoltage warning from RPi3-RPi5.
