How to change gfx folder directory?

I have the game all installed and compiled (on steam deck), it launches and opens to the menu but when starting a new game it comes up "failed to find gfx folder in localappdata sm64plus". I see you mentioning "passing the path to the gfx directory as the first argument to the executable". Could you briefly state how I'd do this? Sorry I'm not too hard to this type of thing but I am trying to learn, much appreciate your guide. Thank you
