Feature Request: Cloud autosave/autobackup/sync

As per title, having the tabs stored/retrieved/synched by one of the many cloud services (the easiest service of your choice to start) would be a great addition.

What would be your purpose ?

I don't find any improvement in relation to exporting it like a file. Also, It will add a lot of dependencies to external API, that I am not really keen on.

For now, this is not my priority.

@NeatWolf: As Tabs/Groups are stored as ordinary bookmarks, you may use the bookmark sync add-on of your choice to accomplish this task. FF has it's own sync service already(?).

From now, I prefer stopping the use of bookmarking auto save due to the many problems it can create. However, once it will be fixed in will be a solution.

Another one (dirtier) would be:

  • To have the cloud application that synchronizes a folder on your computer
  • Create a link from the saved file of the extension in your synchronized folder (it is easily done on Linux, I don't know for Mac & Windows)

Saved file path example: {PREFIX}/.mozilla/firefox/{letter&number).{profile name, often default}/browser-extension-data/[email protected]/storage.js

PREFIX on linux: ~ PREFIX on Windows: C:\Users{User}\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Be aware that this file is the one that makes possible to retrieve your groups on FF start. You might lose data if you modify it!
