Missing "local version is newer than AUR" warning

Open mabod opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

This is for paru v1.10.0 - libalpm v13.0.1 on Arch Linux.

When I compare the output to yay I am missing a warning about a local version being newer than AUR.

yay is telling me that

 -> libpdfium-nojs: local (4951.r2.f4c62094ab-1) is newer than AUR (4758.r1.27cabf3dae-1)
 -> tuner: local (1.5.1-1) is newer than AUR (1.3.1-2)

paru is not doing that. I am wondering why.

For libpdfium-nojs I assume this is due to the fact that it is listed as IgnorePkg in /etc/pacman.conf. But why is paru not showing the warning for the tuner package?

For libpdfium-nojs I assume this is due to the fact that it is listed as IgnorePkg in /etc/pacman.conf.

This would make the local version older, not newer.

Anyway, this caused annoying false positives in yay so it was left out.
