We are thinking about providing pre-reuploads for every version range. Remember that versions after 1.7.7 are not **supported**, just **available**

What would be a potential use case for this? From what I can see, the vanilla scaling behavior does not benefit from setting the value to above 3.
I'm going to take your word for it as I have no good means of verifying it. We will attempt to make this a patch.
