Option to have Status Bars without White Gloss Overlay

The white gloss overlay looks beautiful on the default bars, so I don't mean to suggest to ditch it entirely, but it interfers with customisation, especially if you want the bars to fade to black. Could it be made optional, maybe as setting you can enable in Settings.lua or Gameflow.lua?
